Communication skills training London: three simple steps

Looking for communication skills training London?

You’re in the right place.

Welcome to Pink Elephant Communications.

We’ve been running training sessions in the capital since 1989.

Read on for how we can help you and your team in three simple steps.

Growing confidence in communication

There’s a myth we need to dispel right off the bat:

“Some people are natural presenters.”

This is a lie.

Some people are naturally inclined to do karaoke in front of everyone.

For others, it’s their worst nightmare.

Presenting falls into exactly the same bracket.

A small number of people jump at the chance to speak to a big audience.

For most of us, we’d rather do anything else.

Here’s the challenge though.

Our business lives demand good communication.

Whether it’s the written word, online, or face-to-face.

So let’s learn how to do it.

And how to do it well.

Step One: the words

The first area to explore is the words.

Knowing you’re saying the right things is vital in building self-belief.

In our training, we’ll break words down into five areas.

Jargon. Structure. Commitment. Positivity. Directness.

We’ll explore each of these in turn, highlighting what works and what falls short.

Then it’s onto the next step.

Step Two: the delivery

This is where we analyse how the words are coming out.

How do you look? Confident? Anxious?

And how is the audience hearing your words?

Does it sound like you mean what you say?

We’ll discuss eye contact. We’ll talk about using your hands.

And we’ll demonstrate how confident communicators command a room.

Step Three: putting it all together

This is where theory becomes reality.

You know the right words to use.

You understand how they need to be delivered.

So can you combine both skills under pressure?

We’ll give you the chance to prepare a short presentation on a topic of your choice.

We’ll ask you to present it to us, and we’ll record it all.

Then, so you get the benefit of seeing what the audience saw, we’ll watch it back.

We’ll identify what we like and what we can still improve.

And then it’s over to you to put these skills into practice every day.

Until it all becomes second nature.

We’ll share our available dates with you, and find out how many people you want trained.

When it comes to communication, strength in depth is key.

A group trained is often more effective than one or two.

And whether it’s Pimlico or Paddington, Stratford or Shoreditch, we’ll see you there.

It’s time to invest in you.
